05/01/03. A legend is born! Captain Anthony Cappiello, 22, has been fishing since he could walk. Even when the bite was tough, His father would have to drag him off the boat. "One more cast," he would always say. His deep-rooted, ever-loving passion for the saltwater world has only grown since then. His adolescence was spent on the water whenever possible. Mating for commercial boats, detailing, maintaining, you name it. Anthony was on it. Throughout the years, he gained a plethora of knowledge about the waters in his backyard. Anthony graduated from West Boca High School at the age of 18, having attained his captain's license from the USCG shortly after. Anthony then started running Backcountry Everglades charters out of Key Largo, FL, for Captain Jeremy Mathis. (22’-24’). Anthony then moved on to freelance captain jobs (24’-25’) operating several local charter boats, all whilst gaining notoriety for being one of the youngest, but most ambitious captains in the area.
